Therapy & Trauma
Healing.
Trauma leaves traces. Our work guides you step by step back to inner safety, stability and self-efficacy.
I help people leave traumatic experiences behind so they no longer determine their lives—to integrate what happened and shape life on their own terms, effectively and with a clear focus on solutions.
What happens in practice?
Beyond diagnoses, we look at what is present: What are you suffering from, how do you deal with it, how did it arise, how do you want to live and, above all, who do you want to be?
I have many thousands of hours of experience working with trauma and trauma-related disorders and have learned from leading trauma specialists worldwide.
Whether you are dealing with the aftermath of accidents, severe loss, sexual assault or other violence, attachment trauma or repeated injuries throughout life, I help you navigate and resolve it—as effectively and quickly as possible.
Fast and as gentle as possible
My methods are state of the art. The goal is to work quickly and as gently as possible.
We do what moves you forward
This approach does not fit conventional treatment schemes and cannot be billed through statutory or private health insurance. That creates special freedom and special responsibility: careful, consistent development, therapeutic work from the first session, substantial independent work and strong commitment on both sides. Sessions usually take place every three to four weeks. We review progress, set the course for the next steps or work on the next issue. A few sessions are enough for some topics; others need more time, especially with early trauma or recurring self-sabotage.
My capacity for therapy is limited. Please expect some waiting time.
Trauma self-help for you
Have you survived traumatic experiences, or are you unsure whether you have a trauma-related disorder? The videos provide answers about symptoms, diagnoses, treatment and self-help.
The videos are short so you can watch them in manageable sections. If you notice an emotional reaction, make a few notes and take a break. You can use this information during therapy.
I also recommend my book on the subject, with many practical tips for dealing with distressing emotions and memories.
